01 / Introduce your companion early
Share your pet’s species, number, size and routine before arranging a viewing. Even if a listing is marked pet-friendly, confirm that both owner and building conditions cover your particular companion.
02 / Ask about spaces and charges
Ask about access routes, permitted elevators, common areas and expectations around noise and cleaning. If there are additional charges, request a clear breakdown and terms from the property contact before deciding.
03 / View the home from their perspective
Inspect windows, balconies, doors and potential escape gaps. Check whether a bed, litter tray or water bowl can fit without blocking movement. Discuss any added fixtures with the owner before installing them.
04 / Make moving day feel more familiar
Keep familiar items such as bedding and toys easy to reach. Set aside a quiet space during the move and make sure everyone watches entrances. Re-establish the familiar daily routine as you settle in.
Confirm with the owner and building management
In your chosen area, such as Thao Dien, Binh Thanh or Tay Ho, check the route out of the building and indoor resting space. Many buildings have management pet rules separate from the owner — ask both sides and request additional charges in VND. A pet-friendly label does not confirm every condition.
